MLB trade rumors: Angels, Dodgers could match up on C.J. Wilson-for Andre Ethier Swap

The Angels, who have been looking for outfield help all season as a result of Matt Joyce's prolonged struggles, were showing interest in Ethier and a few other options as of last month, according to reports.
The team has also been linked to Ben RevereBrandon MossAdam Lind and Jay Bruce as they search for outfield help, but so far have been unable to acquire a player other than Kirk Niewenhuis, who struggled during his tenure with the Halos and was designated for assignment on Wednesday.
The Dodgers are known to be on the lookout for pitching in the wake of season-ending injuries to Hyun-jin Ryu and Brandon McCarthy, despite having a rehabbing Brandon Beachy as rotation depth.
It is unclear whether or not the Angels would be willing to move Wilson in a trade for offense, though Andrew Heaney could theoretically take Wilson's place in the rotation if the latter is dealt.
Though the teams are crosstown rivals, they have shown a willingness to trade with each other, as evidenced by the Winter Meetings deal that sent Heaney to Anaheim in exchange for second baseman Howie Kendrick. It will be interesting to see if talks materialize before the July 31 trade deadline, or if the rumor is just industry chatter.
